Enantioselective synthesis of medium-sized ring-bridged oxabicycles by ring-closing metathesis

A flexible strategy is describes for the enantioselective construction of both optical antipodes of the oxabicyclo[4.2,1]-, -]5,2,1]-, and -[6.2,1]alkenes by a ring-closing metathesis reaction of the suitable 2,5-cis-dialkenyltetrahydrofuran derivatives.
